How to get more renewals, referrals, and testimonials

Track your client's mental/ emotional growth.

When most people work with you, they probably feel like they’ve improved somewhat but since you’re a service-based entrepreneur most of their change is intangible (EX. more confident, less stressed, better organized, etc).

Even though those results seem AMAZING… human brains forget how far they’ve come, unless there’s a meaningful connection to their growth!

The Forgetting Curve, or the “Ebbinghaus Curve of Forgetting,” is an influential memory model. It shows how learned information slips out of our memories over time – unless we take action to keep it there.

So you have to show clients how far they’ve come and record their growth!

Here are 3 steps to tracking intangibles:

  1. Figure out what intangible mental and emotional growth your clients create when they work with you (EX. more confident, less stressed, better organized, ect).

  2. Get each client's baseline # for each category

  3. Track your client's improvement each week and make their growth memorable!

You will have concrete outcomes for your clients to see their progress and they’ll associate you with their progress!

So start tracking intangibles so clients will continue working with you, refer you to their friends, and provide powerful testimonials for future clients!
